Sold to Random House, Germany

Audur Jonsdottirs new book, Wintersun, caught a lot of attention in the recent Frankfurt Book Fair. German publishers were especially keen - partly because Iceland will be the guest of honour on the Fair in 2011.
There were quit a few offers right after the fair resulting in a rights auction.
After some excitement
the german branch of Random House won the game. The publishing giant aims to publish Wintersun and distribute it in Germany, Austria and Switzerland next year.
From Wikipedia:
Verlagsgruppe Random House is the second largest book publisher in Germany. It is headquartered in Munich.

Sorry about answering so late.
The rights department is working on sales to English speaking countries.
It´s hard to say if they will achieve this within this year or if will take until the fair in Frankfurt in 2011. These things are fairly unpredictable.
